Our architect, John Hattie from Atlantic Home Designs, came over on Friday afternoon and we finalized the plans for the house that we’re going to build. Assuming we ever finalize our purchase of the lot. But let’s accentuate the positive – this is the house that inspired our design:
It was fun to watch John in action – changing roof lines, adding windows, flipping around the front entry…
We worked together to make our house just the way we want it to be :-) Brian was even convinced that an outdoor shower would be a good thing :-)
The drawings will go to drafting in the next few weeks, and should be finished in about six weeks. In the meantime, we’ve ordered some roof samples and are looking at options for roll down shutters that will protect all those windows from breaking in a big storm. I just saw The Perfect Storm a few days ago, I’ve seen how big waves can get!
