Keep it in your drawers

Since we moved into rental house #2, I’ve made an important discovery – drawers in the kitchen rock!

I don’t know how I’ve lived with cabinet doors for so long – drawers make it so much easier to find what you’re looking for. Just pull the drawer open, and voila, everything is right there in front of you. No digging around and pulling things out to find that big bowl that you need way at the back.

So I guess it’s a good thing that we’ve been so slow with building our house – if we’d already had our kitchen cabinets made, we wouldn’t be able to re-make them with lots of drawers. I’m totally set on having as many drawers as possible! Drawers in the island…

Do you have a lot of drawers in your kitchen? And if you do, do you love them?

  1. Agree! The more drawers the better and if you can work them into your floor plan, you will not regret it. Also a word of advice, don't skimp on the quality of their glides and choose the best you can afford. -Brenda-
Tip -- Though soft/self closing ones are nice, they are not necessarily a necessity IMHO.

    1. Hello Brenda! Yes, the more drawers the better for sure :-) Good advice about the glides. I do like the soft close drawers, but they're not a deal breaker. Now if I can just convince Brian to have our cabinets made instead of making them himself....

    1. Sounds like you have a super-functional kitchen Michelle :-) I don't know why I never thought about all drawers before, it makes so much more sense than digging around through kitchen cupboards. Just pull a drawer open and you can see and reach everything that's in it :-)
